Young Chinese pianist Di Xiao will perform works by Domenico Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Ravel and Olivier Messiaen, at the Athens Concert Hall tonight, as part of the Rising Stars series of concerts. The piano recital will start at 8.30 p. m. and take place at the Dimitris Mitropoulos Hall.

Handel’s ‘Messiah’

Soprano Gina Poulou and mezzo-soprano Efi Minakouli, tenor Antonis Koroneos and others, will be joined by the Deree College Orchestra and Choir for a concert of Handel’s “Messiah” this evening. The concert will start at 8.30 p. m. at the Pierce College Theater. Admission is 15 euros, 10 euros with a student discount.

Baritone Haris Andrianos and mezzo-soprano Irini Karayianni will join forces for a program of melodies by Ravel, Manuel de Falla, Satie, Poulenc and others, accompanied by pianist Dimitris Yiakas, at the Spyropouleio Neo Psychico Cultural Center tonight. The concert will start at 7.30 p. m. and admission is free.

An exhibition of paintings by Greek artists, from the National Bank collection, is on display at the National Gallery until March 22. The exhibition is open daily 9 a. m. to 3 p. m. except Tuesdays, as well as 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. on Sundays.
