The semifinals of the Maria Callas Grand Prix international competition for opera singers will take place tonight at the Athens Concert Hall, while the third and final round has been scheduled for Sunday, along with the awards ceremony.

The 11th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival (TDF) will kick off tonight and run to March 22, with more than 170 films including tributes to Swiss director Stefan Schwietert, Canada’s Peter Wintonick and Greece’s Fotos Lambrinos. Screenings take place at various venues.
