Howard Zinn’s monologue, in which the deceased Karl Marx asks to visit Earth to clear his name but is accidentally sent to New York’s Soho instead of London’s, will open at the Vassilakou Theater today and run Mondays and Tuesdays at 9.15 p.m. The play is directed by Athanassia Karayian-nopoulou and stars Angelos Antonopoulos, with sets and costumes by Giorgos Assimakopoulos.

The tribute to distinguished Hungarian filmmaker Bela Tarr, held at the Trianon Filmcenter, will end tomorrow. Today’s program features the screening of two of Tarr’s shorts at 5.30 p.m. and the full-length movies “The Outsider” at 6.45 p.m., “Macbeth” at 9 p.m. and the “Werckmeister Harmonies” at 10.20 p.m. Admission is 7.50 euros for all screenings.
