AIRMEN’S CASE: According to a reliable source, investigations into the communist conspiracy in the air force revealed a few months ago have shown major damage to the air force, damage that would have been even worse if, despite widespread pressure from the government, the investigations had not gone ahead so rapidly. The report is damning in its revelations and evidence. It has been shown without a doubt that a considerable number of senior and junior air force officers, as well as civilians in the Communist Party of Greece’s secret organization within the air force, succeeded within a short space of time in reducing the effectiveness of the training program to the extent that the failure rate reached 70 percent (three times the usual) in flight training programs (...) Twenty-five aircraft were put out of action due to sabotage, and it appears that the communist organization in the air force, led by a flight lieutenant who has not yet been arrested, took direct orders from outside and was directly linked to a secret organization, still in existence, in the army and navy. ADAMANTIOS LEMOS: The Lemos theater company is continuing its performances at the Pangrati Park theater with considerable success. As of next Monday, it will be staging “The Shepherdess’s Lover.”
