Selection: Michalis Katsigeras

SPATA AIRPORT:Deputy Transport Minister Mr Gerakinis announced that the committee set up to decide whether to move the airport to Spata or keep it at Hellenikon has not reached a decision. GREECE - WEST GERMANY: Munich, 4 (From our correspondent K. Zafeiropoulos): The agenda for the continuation of meetings on economic and political issues that Greek Prime Minister Field Marshal Alexandros Papagos is to hold in Germany has already been set. The Greek government believes it is not possible to ignore the importance of Germany in the defense of the Western world, as it is clear that it is capable of supporting the defense effort for a long period of time in its geographic area. SOCIAL WELFARE: The Welfare Ministry’s holiday camps for children from families in need or in ill health opened on July 1. Groups have already left for camps in Bisia, near Loutraki, Aegina and Pendeli, and another leaves next week for Rafina. MICHALIS KATSAROS: (From a review by C. Paraschos on a collection of poems titled “According to the Sadducees”): “(...) Mr Katsaros delivers poetic situations and feelings with irony, at times barely evident but at others sharp.”
