PEOPLE’S RIGHT: The Welfare Ministry has announced that there has been absolutely no change in the way patients who are without adequate financial resources are admitted to state hospitals. It said that no patient with a valid admission form and proof of insufficient means is hindered from admission to any hospital. The only change effected concerns the way people without means are admitted to two hospitals that are governed by private law, and where the fees are paid by the ministry. This move was dictated by the need for patients to be admitted first of all to hospitals with vacant beds and especially to avoid delays in admitting patients to certain hospitals where there are few vacant beds. ACHILLEAS MADRAS: Tomorrow at 11 a.m., the 80th birthday of the veteran of theater and film, Achilleas Madras, will be celebrated at Parnassos Hall. The program includes a speech by Mr Madras, as well as recitations. AEK STADIUM: Yesterday afternoon, construction work began on extensions to the stands at the stadium of the AEK soccer club.
