RADCLIFFE CONSTITUTION: The Greek government has rejected Britain’s draft constitution for Cyprus, the British Secretary for the Colonies, Mr Alan Lennox Boyd, was told in Athens last night. The draft satisfies none of the demands of the Cypriot people, nor does it provide any basis for negotiation. However, by request of Mr Lennox Boyd, who has been given time to revise the plan, the government has not published its reply. However, according to sources, there is no real likelihood of it being amended. After the meeting yesterday between Prime Minister Constantine Karamanlis and Mr Lennox Boyd, there was a two-hour Cabinet meeting to discuss the British plan. The prime minister’s reply was approved unanimously. The British Secretary and the officials accompanying him were to leave today by military transport for Ankara for talks with the Turkish government. Next Wednesday, Mr Lennox Boyd will make a statement in the House of Commons. In its reply to the plan, the Greek government offered a brief statement last night. Deputy Foreign Minister Constantine Tsatsos, as spokesman for the government, told the press that no other statement would be forthcoming.
