DEAD OUTSIDE THE IRON CURTAIN: Volos, 18 - Fishermen yesterday found the wreck of an aircraft in shallow water off the coast of Halkidiki, northern Greece, that contain the remains of an airman, Georgios Kotzatzidis of Volos. The plane disappeared a year ago during NATO exercises, and because no trace of it was found, suspicions were raised that the missing airman may have taken refuge behind the Iron Curtain. Kotzatzidis’s remains are to be taken to Volos tomorrow for burial. LET THEM ALL DIE: Yesterday evening the American General James van Fleet arrived in Athens from London. He was the head of the American military mission in Greece during the war against the outlaws. He was met on arrival at the airport by the defense minister, Mr Panayiotis Kanellopoulos, the leadership of the armed forces, and many of his Greek and American friends. (...) General van Fleet, answering press questions about the international situation, observed that it would not improve “until they all died,” obviously referring to the leaders of communism.
