Selection: Michalis Katsigeras

ELYTIS RESIGNS: The general director of the National Radio Foundation (EIR), Mr Giorgios Alexiadis, has submitted his resignation, which has been accepted. The minister to the prime minister, Mr Giorgios Rallis, expressed his thanks to Mr Alexiadis for his services to the foundation. General Serapheim Kolokas is to assume the general directorate of EIR. Odysseas Elytis, the director of programming, also submitted his resignation and also received the thanks of the minister. Mr Elytis is being replaced by Mr Dionysios Romas. RETURN FROM THE FRONT: The Panhellenic Union of Reserve Officers has sent a telegram to the prime minister asking him to intervene personally since, as they claim, business firms are beginning to dismiss those among them who formerly served at the front. OUR ARMY: A lovely celebration was held at the Kifissia Sporting Club to mark Armed Forces Day. It was attended by the National Defense Minister and Mrs P. Kanellopoulos, the Queen’s Lord Chamberlain and Mrs P. Leloudas, the Sergeant at Arms and Mrs A. Stathatos and the Queen’s Chief Lady-in-Waiting Mrs N. Trikoupis.
