KARAMANLIS: Thessaloniki, 23 - The capital of northern Greece has opened its arms wide to embrace its distinguished son, Prime Minister Mr Constantine Karamanlis, who has begun his election campaign in his home town. What happened on Sunday (January 22) in Thessaloniki was unprecedented, at least since the time of Eleftherios Venizelos. KARAMANLIS ON CHANGE: Mr Karamanlis, who appeared on the balcony of the Commercial Club, said the following: (...) “I come to Macedonia as the bearer of a new political movement which aims to provide solutions to the universal and powerful demand of our times: the demand for change.” GREEKS FROM KOREA: The last 14 Greek officers and 189 men serving in Korea have been repatriated via New York.
