Selection: Michalis Katsigeras

OLYMPIAKOS CHAMPIONSHIP WINNER: Yesterday afternoon the final game of the Greek championship was played at the Panathinaikos stadium, refereed by Mr Sotiropoulos, between Olympiakos Piraeus and the defending champion Patron Panachaikis. The Piraeus team won 3-0. All the goals were scored in the first half by Moustaklis (in the first minute), Yfantis (ninth minute) and Kotridis (44th minute). In that half, the Patras team lost a sure goal in the 10th minute when Chrysanthopoulos shot wide just three meters from the goalpost. In the second half, the Patras team put up a good fight, kept its goal post safe and launched several offensives. The members of the Olympiakos team, which retained its lead in the second half, were Kouroklatos, Rossidis, Germenis, Xanthopoulos, Soulis, Kotridis, Kokkinakis, Ifantis, Moustaklis, Darivas and Drosos. Olympiakos is now the Greek champion, winning eight out of the 10 games it played, and drawing 1-1 in the other two games with Panathinaikos. PAO is second with five victories and five ties all with 1-1, AEK is in third place.
