BULGARIAN AGREEMENT: The following announcement by Bulgaria has been sent by telegram from the country’s foreign minister to the United Nations: “In reply to the letter of May 6 by Greece’s permanent representative, Mr Alexis Kyros, I have the honor of informing you that (...) the Bulgarian government agrees to Greece’s proposal and specifically, to the formation of a joint committee consisting of six representatives of the United Nations, which will engage in an on-site demarcation of the border between the two countries.” TRIPARTITE: In a joint communique by the governments of Greece, Turkey and Yugoslavia (...), the formulation of the three countries’ stance regarding Balkan and neighboring international developments is to be accelerated. At the same time, they declare their absolute agreement regarding a joint confrontation of these developments on the political and military front. KARAMANLIS: Public Works Minister Mr Constantine Karamanlis leaves tomorrow (June 26) by air for Thessaloniki to examine issues related to his ministry. Mr Karamanlis will then travel to Serres to attend celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the liberation of the town. UNRIPE WATERMELONS: By decision of the Trade Secretariat, the sale of unripe watermelons is banned. Violators will be prosecuted and police are required to destroy any of the offending fruit in the vendors’ possession.
