Lawlessness at our universities
Now we've really seen it all. A group of students yesterday dragged the vice dean of Democritus University's faculty in Xanthi out of his office and then bricked up the entrance. And this happened in front of television crews which, evidently, had been invited by the students so that their fascist and unprovoked violence could be immortalized.
COMMENTARY
Empty gestures or a fresh start?
He had to do something. Especially since PASOK's less-than-satisfactory performance in recent local authority elections, the political climate had been weighing heavily on George Papandreou. And not only the party mechanism but also its grass roots were affected.
