EDITORIAL

Giving in to the law of the jungle In this country the law seems to have become tantamount to «students' rights» - or what certain students define as their rights. According to this law, students can freely abuse university deans, brick up the entrances to university offices and destroy public property. Another new law which seems to have come into being is the law of the quarry firms, which refuse to act upon court rulings and continue to operate despite breaking environmental regulations.

COMMENTARY

A response to our detractors I would like to explain how we work at Kathimerini, with what principles and goals. I have elaborated on this many times in the past but I think it is worthwhile revisiting the topic in view of the slanderous comments and allegations that have been hurled at us over the past few weeks, and which have been thoughtlessly and shamelessly propagated. First, I must point out that this slander is aimed at damaging the credibility of our newspaper and hurting the integrity of our work...
