Which part of the political spectrum this individual, or these individuals, may belong to is of little or no interest to us. The newspaper's deep conviction is that traditional ideological political distinctions have been obliterated.

A time bomb in the Aegean
The Aegean contains a time bomb which we have come to call the «gray areas.» Since 1996, when Ankara gave rise to this issue following the crisis over the Imia islets, Turkish vessels have been running aground on rocky islets and refusing Greek offers of help, insisting that Turkish authorities have jurisdiction in the area. Today it is crucial that Athens remains calm and does not react hotheadedly as it did in 1996.
