Keeping an eye on a restless neighbor
Recent events in Turkey and its relations with the European Union have increased the urgency of a shake-up of Greek foreign policy toward Ankara. New factors have arisen that need to be analyzed and included in this re-evaluation so that Athens's policy toward Turkey is not held hostage to outdated perceptions. First, Turkey is facing a renewed upsurge in internal disturbances, culminating in clashes that have caused many deaths in the Kurdish areas.
