Break from protests needed
The people of Athens finally need a break from the constant trial of protest marches that bring the city center to a halt and block off major thoroughfares. Alternate Interior Minister Christos Markoyiannakis, under whose jurisdiction this issue falls, must enforce the existing law, which prohibits a handful of people - and this is very often the case - from holding the entire capital city hostage and jeopardizing the smooth operation of thousands of businesses...

A torturous proces
The wrongs or rights of torture have been the subject of much debate over the past few days. But sometimes it does not take a person being shackled, dressed in an orange jumpsuit and then «waterboarded» to feel that they are being tortured. The last few weeks, which have seen a series of political/economic scandals reappear or come to the boil, have been a form of very uniquely Greek torture.
