Protecting our environment
Greece stands out for its poor management of the environment as it does in so many other spheres. While most countries across the world have suffered from unchecked industrial development, in Greece the most damage has been caused by small property owners, who are responsible for most illegal buildings, and small factories. The above fact is proof of the bankruptcy of Greece's political system.

Houses of art and power
Some buildings are the seats of institutionalized power: the Parliament building, the Presidential Palace, the Supreme Court or the headquarters of the Bank of Greece. Others, particularly monuments like the Parthenon, have symbolic cultural significance. But there are also buildings which, by virtue of their size and strategic location, became seats of real power, such as the Army Pension Fund building.
