Bond deal goes sour JP Morgan refuses to pay back interest to pension funds

Police operation sends signal
The arrest Tuesday of three youths who attempted to set fire to a municipal police car was a double coup for the Greek police. The successful police operation came at a crucial time, as the image of the force has been marred by the unchecked activity of extremist groups. The effectiveness of the police officers involved in the operation sends a strong message to other extremist elements.
COMMENTARY
US-Russian poker
This was not a typical G8 summit. It was not just talks and bargaining among the world's most influential political leaders. The mood was sour - and remarks by US President George W. Bush and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin did little to change that. Clearly, concerns that US-Russian ties would slide back to the Cold War days were unfounded.
