The environment vs financial interests
Kathimerini believes the environment to be a major political issue that should rank high on politicians' and citizens' agendas. Greeks understand that the environment is not just of interest to the few, as it affects the well-being and quality of life of everyone and of their children. We have repeatedly written about the polluting of the Asopos River, which poses a huge threat to public health as there are large food and drink companies in the area.
