Opinion poll manipulation
One of the problems dogging politics in Greece and which calls for cool-headed analysis is the manipulation of opinion polls. Greek voters seem to be caught in a paradox. The media and the journalists had for months been preparing the public for a neck-and-neck electoral contest.
COMMENTARY
Pulling PASOK’s strings
Few were surprised by the crisis that rocked PASOK following Sunday's heavy election defeat. Any other outcome would be unnatural. It's up to Socialist party members and friends to pick the next leader. The rest - including journalists and academics - have no say, unless they wish to look silly.

How did former Education Minister Marietta Giannakou feel when she heard the poll results from the electoral district of Athens? How did she receive the news that she had lost the battle of the ballot, knowing that the battle was practically lost from the onset?
