Silence and deliberation
This summer, which has been such a difficult one not only for Greece but also for much of the rest of Europe, is by no means over yet. Unfortunately, countless forest fires with their terrible toll on human life have been raging not only here in our own country but across much of southern Europe. A number of countries have been ravaged by their destructive mania.
COMMENTARY
Archaeological museum woes
In a few months' time, Athens will be ready to open the New Acropolis Museum, but it would be wonderful if it were also in a position to open a New Archaeology Museum by 2015. It is feasible, and above all desirable. When Culture Minister Giorgos Voulgarakis opened the new gift shop at the National Archaeological Museum the other day - do government ministers anywhere else in the world do this?
