Another display of arrogance
After embarrassing the entire public administration with land swaps and after belittling the entire justice system with their interventions concerning ownership of the lagoon, the monks Ephraim and Arsenios decided to continue in the same vein and trivialize the institution of Parliament and its investigative committee. COMMENTARY
Eggs but no omelet
It is such a shame that much more was not done when it could have been. Just recall the government's energy and hope when it came to power in 2004 and the good political climate that prevailed. It was a government with a popular premier, with no real rivals and a public that was eager for change. It was a government that could sail through any crisis without batting an eye.

Working with China
President Hu Jintao's visit next week underlines the great store that China has put in developing ties with Greece. Trade between the two countries, weighed greatly in China's favor, has developed in great leaps, reaching 2.9 billion euros last year - a rise of 52 percent from a year earlier. China is now Greece's seventh-largest trading partner but is quickly gaining on the leading countries.
