Park light kills 13-year-old

A 13-year-old boy was electrocuted on Saturday night after grabbing a lighting cable in a seaside taverna garden in Aspropyrgos, west of Athens, police said. The boy had been playing in the garden while his parents were eating in the taverna, according to police. Experts were to determine the exact cause of the incident before anyone is charged.

Molotov attack

Scooter-borne youths hurled three Molotov cocktail bombs at the offices of the Olympiakos soccer club in Ilioupolis early yesterday morning, police said. The bombs started a fire that caused serious damage to the premises, police said. The attack followed Friday night’s jubilant celebrations by fans of Olympiakos, which clinched the league and cup double last week.
