Levadiakos and Doxa enter the Super League

Levadiakos and Doxa Dramas are the teams to fill the two vacant spots in the Super League this season.

The board of the Super League decided by majority to pick the fourth and the fifth team of last season?s Football League in order to replace relegated Olympiakos Volou and Kavala.

The saga about the two teams to take the empty spots has been going on for months now, with the championship already into its seventh round of games.

The voting result was seven against two, with three clubs choosing to abstain. Consequently Larissa and Panserraikos will be playing in the Football League, that is now set to kick off on October 30.

The decision is not definitive yet, though, as it is pending confirmation by the federation, expected to come on Monday.

What is more, the decision cannot be enforced for another month or so, meaning Levadiakos and Doxa will have to wait until at least November 19 to get to play some soccer this season, as that is the date when the case of Olympiakos Volou against its replacement will be heard in court.
