Deadline extended for tax declarations
The deadline for submission of of personal income tax declarations has been extended from June 15 to June 30 due to a second round of general elections to be held on June 17, authorities said on Friday.
Sources indicated that the deadline might be extended even further, through July 15 if necessary.
Meanwhile Finance Ministry officials are considering giving debtors more time to make good on tax arrears to the state. The deadline for those payments is May 31 but is expected to be extended until the end of June.
