Euronews to add Greek to its services

Multilingual news television channel Euronews is adding Greek to its service portfolio. The announcement was made by Euronews CEO Michael Peters in Athens on Tuesday.

Euronews Greece will provide a round-the-clock service starting in December. It will be funded by the European Commission and Euronews, and will be based in Athens.

Currently available in 11 languages, the multi-platform channel provides 24-hour coverage and reaches 350 million homes in 155 countries.

The channel was originally established by the European Broadcasting Union with the aim of presenting news from a European perspective. Euronews is based in Lyon, France.
