Prisoner, 24, commits suicide in cell
A 24-year-old man who was being detained at a police station in Karditsa, central Greece, was believed to have committed suicide after being found hanging in his cell late on Friday.
Early reports suggested the victim, who was awaiting trial, used his shoelaces to hang himself.
A police investigation was under way over the weekend, while two officers who were on duty at the time of the incident were suspended.
