FYROM PM blames Greece for name impasse

Failure to reach a solution on the name dispute with Athens is putting Skopje’s NATO and EU ambitions on hold, the Prime Minister of Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (FYROM) Nikola Gruevski said Wednesday while pointing a finger at Athens for the impasse.

“Unfortunately, Greece is currently exclusively focused on its economic problems,” Gruevski said in an interview with local media adding that finding a solution would be in the interest of both states.

Asked about the Turkish Stream gas pipeline project, Gruevski said that FYROM would only get involved following an agreement between Moscow and Brussels.
