This winter’s Greek flu deaths rise to 100

The number of people in Greece who have died after contracting the influenza A (H1N1) strain this winter rose to 100 on Tuesday after six people who had the virus passed away within 24 hours of each other.

The Hellenic Center for Disease Control and Prevention (KEELPNO) said that 106 flu sufferers are currently being treated in intensive care units.

A total of 310 patients have received intensive care since the start of the year.
