Greek authorities and politicians condemn Manchester attack

Greek authorities and politicians on Tuesday condemned a terrorist attack in Manchester that left 22 dead and dozens injured.

In a post on his Twitter account, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras expressed "absolute condemnation of the terrible terrorist attack in Manchester." "We express our solidarity with the British people," he wrote.

The Foreign Ministry issued a statement condemning the "barbaric terrorist attack" and expressing condolences to the families of the victims, the British people and the British government.

Opposition politicians also issued statements with conservative New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis expressing "horror and indignation" at the attack.
