German city honors Greek victims of Nazi massacre

Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos was greeted by residents of Kassel, Germany on Saturday with signs saying “Never Again” in honor of the victims of the Distomo massacre, which was carried out by the Nazis on June 10, 1944, during their occupation of Greece.

Pavlopoulos is in the German city along with his German counterpart, Frank-Walter Steinmeier, for the inauguration of the art exhibition Documenta 14, which opened in Athens for the first time in its 60-year history in April.
