Soccer fans detained for violating lockdown restrictions
Five PAOK soccer fans were detained on Monday night in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, for violating lockdown measures after dozens gathered outside the club’s stadium to celebrate its 94th anniversary.
Officers who arrived outside the stadium urged the fans, who were chanting slogans, to disperse, but were ignored.
Shortly after, riot police were called in and chased the fans away.
