USS Hershel ‘Woody’ Williams arrives in Crete

USS Hershel “Woody" Williams arrived at the US naval base in Souda Bay on Crete on Tuesday, as part of its inaugural deployment in the US Sixth Fleet region.

The 239-meter ship is an Expeditionary Mobile Base with 250 crew members which was commissioned in early March.

The ship left the port of Napoli after stopping for fuel and supplies on August 15.
