Parliament lights up to mark day for elimination of violence against women

The Greek Parliament was lit up in orange on Wednesday evening to mark the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

As part of the initiative, the slogan “No to violence” was projected on part of the facade.

Marking the day, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou, Greece’s first woman president, stressed the need for "a change in family and societal paradigms" through education and counseling.
