A warm welcome for brave survivors of hostage crisis

It was a warm moment when a group of young Russians came to Athens on a cultural tour. The 11 actors were performing in the production «Nord Ost» in Moscow in October when a group of Chechen rebels stormed the theater. They were taken hostage and survived the gas that was used to end the episode. They went to the Athens Concert Hall as the guests of the Greek National Tourism Organization (GNTO) with GNTO President Yiannis Patellis, to attend the concert of the European Youth Orchestra. These serious, well-dressed young people with their open faces were a promising presence for a Europe with broad horizons.
