Greece reaches Eurovision final

Greece will be one of the 26 countries competing in the Eurovision Song Contest final in Malmo, Sweden, on Saturday after the group Koza Mostra, featuring Agathon Iakovidis, stormed through Thursday’s semifinal with their Balkan pop-tinged number “Alcohol Is Free.” “

I don’t know how we got to the final – maybe the people were drunk,” said the group’s lead singer, Ilias Kozas.

The Greek song will be the 21st on stage in Saturday’s grand final.

Denmark’s 20-year-old Emmelie De Forest and her song “Only Teardrops” are the clear favorite among bookmakers, followed by the entries of Norway, Ukraine, Russia and Azerbaijan.
