Lady Gaga to stop in Greece in September on world tour

Lady Gaga’s 2014 world tour, “ArtRave: The Artpop Ball,” is coming to Athens this September and promises to be nothing short of spectacular.

The American singer-songwriter is one of the most popular music artists in the world, making her stop in Athens something of an honor for the Greek capital. She will perform a single show on September 19, featuring hits from her 2013 multi-platinum album, “Artpop,” as well as other favorites. Since her first album was released in 2008, Lady Gaga has won countless awards for her work. The tour will travel to over 15 countries.

Lady Gaga’s 2014 world tour officially gets under way on May 4 in the US, and will make stops in Japan and Australia before touching down in Athens. The concert at the Olympic Stadium in Maroussi will be the tour’s first stop of many in Europe, not to mention a big night for local youngsters, for whom it will be their first opportunity to see the much loved American pop star perform in Greece.

The production includes a new stage design to optimize audience interaction. The asymmetrical and interactive tour stage will ensure that no part of the audience is too far from the star, while there will also be Jumbotron screens to aid in minimizing the distance.

Tickets will be available as of 10 a.m. Thursday and will range from 38.50 to 82.50 euros. There will also be a limited selection of VIP tickets for 104.50 to 115.50 euros. Visit www.lavris.gr to purchase tickets online, and www.ladygaga.com and www.littlemonsters.com for additional information about the production. Further information regarding other ticket sales points will be announced at a later date.
