Exhibition and festival

Greek and foreign publishers are holding an exhibition of foreign language teaching books today and tomorrow at the Divani Caravel Hotel, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the same hours on Sunday at the Capsis Hotel in Thessaloniki. The exhibition includes English, French, German, Italian and Spanish books and teaching materials. Authors and teacher trainers will be holding workshops and seminars on new developments in foreign language teaching, and visitors can meet publishers, authors and representatives of software firms and examination centers. New festival venue Pedestrianized Dionysiou Areopagitou Street, stretching from the foothills of the Acropolis to the columns of Olympian Zeus, will be the venue for this year’s Book Festival. The usual location at the Pediou tou Areos is undergoing refurbishment. Organized by Publishers’ League (SEKB) in cooperation with the Culture Ministry and the City of Athens, the festival runs from September 12 to 28 and the official opening by Greek President Costis Stephanopoulos is on September 15 at 8 p.m.
