A heartbeat
Costis Palamas’s poem «The Palm Tree» is the inspiration for an exhibition of work by 16 students and graduates of the sixth painting workshop of the Athens School of Fine Arts. The exhibition, titled «The Earth’s Great Heartbeat,» is organized by the National Book Center, the Athens Municipality’s culture department, and the organizing committee for the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the poet’s death. It is the last in a series of events that included a touring exhibition, an album about Palamas’s life and work, and round-table discussions.
