From Gordonstoun School this Tuesday, the sounds of bagpipes, harp and drums, angelic choir voices and jazz rhythms will pour out into Loukianou Street and Vassilissis Sofias Avenue in central Athens. It’s the choir and music department of the traditional Scottish school Gordonstoun, who will be giving a concert for the British Ambassador Sir David Madden and his wife on March 23 at 7.30 p.m. Helbi, who shares the couple’s love of cats, is invited and will make at least a notional visit to beautiful Scotland, which has given us more than Elgin. The concert is one of a series of events in Gordonstoun’s Tour of Greece with music for 2004.
