May Day — say it with flowers

May Day – say it with flowers. May Day is a day to celebrate the first blossoms and to commemorate workers’ struggles. In Athens, we do it in the traditional way, by weaving a wreath to hang over our front doors for good luck. On the Acropolis, a monument to world heritage, and the nearby Philopappou Hill, nature provides its own wreaths in the form of flowering shrubs.
