Athens Concert Hall presents new atrium

The Athens Concert Hall has a new venue. Situated at the heart of the complex, the «Muses Atrium» links all the vital areas. A bright and open space, the new area has the capacity to host a plethora of events during the summer season. The Muses Atrium will be officially inaugurated in September – yet another Olympic month – with the participation of various popular Greek artists. A performance titled «Memories of Smyrna with Today’s Voices,» featuring the Estoudiantina Orchestra and Choir of Nea Ionia, Magnesia, together with Giorgos Dalaras, Panayiotis Lalezas, Iota Negga, Areti Ketime, Sophia Papazoglou and Katerina Papadopoulou, will take place on September 8 and 9. On September 14, Lavrentis Mahairitsas will perform with Christos Thivaios. Alkinoos Ioannidis will go onstage on September 17, while on September 24, Giorgos Dalaras and soprano Sonia Theodoridou will join forces accompanied by the ERT National Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of Andreas Pylarinos. Tickets for all six events go on sale at the Concert Hall’s ticket box beginning tomorrow, at a set price of 20 euros. Performances begin at 9 p.m. Athens Concert Hall, 1 Kokkali & Vas.
