Lecture on Cyprus by historian

Historian Pavlos N. Tzermias’s three-volume magnum opus, «Cyprus from Antiquity to European Union Accession,» published by I. Sideris, will be presented in Nicosia on September 29 by the cultural service of the Education and Culture Ministry. The writer will give a lecture on «Cyprus at the Crossroads of History,» distilling his long academic and authorial involvement with Cyprus. Tzermias will present his book and discuss Greece and Cyprus in Athens on October 6, at the ESHEA Journalists’ Union at 20 Academias Street. The author is Neue Zurcher Zeitung’s correspondent for Greece and Cyprus, has taught at the universities of Freiburg and Zurich and has been a corresponding member of the Athens Academy since 2000. As a long-time commentator on Cyprus, he offers both specialists and the general public a well-documented and fascinating account of the history of Cyprus from antiquity to the present day.
