Fulbright Foundation session on education in US, scholarships

For the second consecutive year, the Fulbright Foundation in Greece and the New York-based Institute of International Education have organized a two-day conference on tertiary education in the US and on the Fulbright scholarship program. The aim of the conference, held October 21-22, was to brief executives from Greek universities on the latest developments in tertiary education in the US and the importance of the Fulbright scholarships to educational and cultural exchanges between Greece and the US. Forty representatives from all the universities in Greece attended the lectures. Topics included trends in international education, postgraduate studies in the US, sources of funding for Greek students, the use of new technologies in education and case studies of Fulbright scholar teachers.
