‘Ode to Alexander the Great’ and ‘El Greco’ by Hadzinassios
It was another special moment at the Herod Atticus Theater when the musicians from the Enarmonia orchestra and solo singer Petros Gaitanos applauded composer-pianist Giorgos Hadzinassios on what was certainly a special night of his life on Wednesday. His symphony, «Ode to Alexander the Great,» with lyrics by Giorgos Papacostas, with the composer at the piano, Grigoris Valtinos narrating and the Fons Musicalis choir singing, gave him and the audience a wonderful evening. It was a personal recital by Hadzinassios, who later played excerpts from his work «El Greco.» The symphony will be performed in Egypt on November 14.
