The Parsons Dance Company consists of nine highly skilled dancers and has a repertoire of over 70 works. The program features the choreographies «Bachiana,» «Sleep Study,» «Brothers,» «The Envelope,» «Kind of Blue,» «Caught» and «Nascimento.» Artistic director and founder David Parsons’s choreographies stand out for their harmony, while the press has always praised the dancers’ interpretations. Parsons creates a lively commentary on contemporary events and his use of music and lights further contributes to spectacular results. The company first became widely known in 2000 after a marathon performance in New York City’s Times Square on the eve of the new millennium. More than 1 billion worldwide television viewers watched the show. Parsons was artistic director for all the events and received much praise in the American press.
