Greek gods on show at art gallery in Belfast

Internationally acclaimed artist Alekos Fassianos will be accompanying his paintings of Dionysus, Poseidon, Zeus, Aeolus and Hermes to Belfast for the exhibition «Works on Paper,» which opens this Thursday at Gormley’s Fine Art, after the show’s success last year in London. The invitation comes from the Greek Culture Foundation in cooperation with the Institute of Byzantine Studies at Queen’s University in Belfast and Gormley’s. The exhibition, which lasts until October 6, includes a special edition of stamps designed by Fassianos to mark the 2004 Athens Olympic Games and silver jewelry for the National Art Gallery.
