Concert for survivors of Hurricane Katrina

The Panathanaiki Women’s Organization and the Friends of Habitat for Humanity are holding a concert to benefit survivors of Hurricane Katrina. What better way to honor the city of New Orleans, among the areas devastated by Katrina? The concert is on November 2 at 8.30 p.m. in the Friends of Music Hall of the Athens Concert Hall. Jazz singer Deborah Davis and A Few Good Men will come from the United States to support the effort, while Greek performers – Dimitris Vassilakis and his jazz group, soprano Jenny Drivala and soloists Stefanos Korkolis and Giorgos Hadzinassios – have volunteered to perform. US Ambassador Charles Ries will be the guest of honor. For information call Polly Chryssanthakopoulou on 6979.313.869.
