Promoting Greek culture as Aristotle Onassis wished
The Alexandros S. Onassis Foundation called a press conference at Athens University on Wednesday to talk about its work in promoting Greek studies in the United States, Canada and South America. A conference held in New York by the foundation’s affiliate and Athens University met with great success, Athens University Rector Professor Giorgos Babiniotis announced. In his first public speech as the foundation’s new director, lawyer and economist Antonis Papadimitriou explained that the program for promoting Greek culture abroad «was in accordance with the wishes of the late Aristotle Onassis, as expressed in his will.»
